Thunderstorm
Sep. 10th, 2007 09:22 amAh, the rain.
I didn't want to get up this morning. When I realized that it was raining, I knew that was why. Curled up in my warm bed, cuddled up next to my warm husband. The steady thrum of the rain was interrupted by the radio as it turned on with its daily wake-up routine. I love the sound of the rain.
Of course, when I opened the door to let the hound out, I realized it was sheets of rain rather than just "rain." There was a bright flash of lightning followed very closely by the thunder, too. So lovely.
I was late to work (only four minutes, but for a punctual person like me, that's still late). I can still hear the rain on the roof of the shop. It's a beautiful, relaxing sound. Mm. Rain.
I can't help but wonder how much more water Lake Lewisville can handle. Which makes me think of Lake Texoma. I hope everything is ok up there,
