Heh. I intended to update on Tuesday, as I had a fabulous weekend.

Saturday Matt and I were going to head to the farm to do some major chores. However, when we woke up that morning, neither of us were in any mood to drive 75 miles, let alone mow an acre, etc. So, we stayed at home and played on the computer all day long. Scrumptious. Sunday we cleaned the house to prepare for the family and friends, and that evening, said family and friends arrived to eat fajitas. Matt cooked, I did dishes (I like that set-up a lot!). Then some of us went to watch the Lewisville fireworks, while others stayed at our house and read or painted. Very laid back evening. Very nice. Monday Matt and I played on the computer all day long again. Yay! Talk about nice and vegitative. Considering I only had one weekend off for the month of June, I got some good rest time in this past weekend.

One really odd thing happened. Paul and [livejournal.com profile] finari came over on Saturday evening, and brought with them an estranged friend. Matt and the estranged friend had a pretty major falling out in November of last year. They exchanged several brutally honest and quite harsh emails. They mutually decided that their friendship was no longer what it used to be, and that having changed in different directions, they would be better off having no more contact with each other.

We neither saw nor heard from him until Saturday. The meeting was polite, even amicable, but still leaves me wondering if they are going to work things out, or if the situation will just be ignored until another such blow up happens. Matt and I haven't really talked about it, and I don't know even if I should bring it up. If I were to guess, I think Matt is in a waiting state, willing to be polite and friendly, but not willing to reach out and certainly not expecting anything.

Yesterday was busy. At work, we had an extended meeting, and also since there was no work on Monday, I had an extra load to catch up on. Tuesday evening we played Ravenloft, which is developing into quite an interesting game. Matt really is an awesome GM, and since the game is small, it presents really nice moments to role-play and rarely gets sidetracked, unlike all the larger games we're in. I'm thoroughly enjoying our Tuesday evening games.

Today has been crazy. I've been ignoring the phone all day, as I've been preparing our accounting program to accept the looming price changes. I only just completed the important part of the update at 8:30pm. It's almost 9pm now, and finally we'll be heading home.

Tonight I have to get ready for a presentation tomorrow evening. Additionally, we're getting ready to tear out the carpet in our front room and install a laminate floor this weekend. Woohoo! We're getting started on getting rid of our carpet. I hate carpet.

Heh. So I had a wonderful weekend, but am swamped for the week. Hopefully I will get some relaxing done on Friday, before we start working on the floors for Saturday. And we still have to head out to the farm at some point to mow....
