BDUs: Whee, Pockets!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Matt and I went to a military surplus store and I picked up two extra pairs of fatigue bottoms, which has me at a total of three pairs. I looooove them. You can't beat BDUs for pockets. Pockets! I think I may pick up two more pairs later and wear them instead of jeans. They are just way more useful than jeans. And if I can't always wear corsets and 19th century clothing or whatever other stuff takes my fancy, my clothes may as well be useful.

So today, I'm wearing a blue Batman t-shirt (found in the boys section at Target), a gray long sleeved shirt under it, my fatigue bottoms, and my Converse One Stars. Whee!

Now, to go walk the hound before my lunch break is over....

Which surplus did you go to? Did they have anything other than clothing? Any shovels, helmets and such? Ammo boxes?

I went to that one near Trane just off I35 E. A few exits south of Belt Line. I don't recall if they had stuff aside from clothing, as that's primarily why we went...

Matt says they did in fact have shovels, helmets, ammo boxes, etc, as far as he could remember.

It's just south of Valwood on the southbound service road of I-35. I should know, I drive past it every morning on my way to work. I'm maybe a quarter of a mile past it, if that.

My building is RIGHT before the World of Decor. You have to drive past it to loop around to go north on I-35 again. ;)

Yeah, I'm going to have to finally replace my One Stars... The leather at one of the edges is finally gone, not to mention the leather around the heal is all tattered and worn. I <3 Converse! I still have some all black low-top All Stars, though, to tide me over after I've finally retired these.
