Aug. 25th, 2003 05:30 pmWell, finished a long day at work. Mondays, as stereotypes would have it, are usually hectic. Phone interruptions aside, I've been invoicing all day, making up for invoices that didn't get entered last week due to getting the list for the next casting cycle ready. Resolving the new release fiasco took a whole day on its own. I do like my job, though. It is good to have a boss that truly values me, who allows me a lot of autonomy, and whose personality, while completely opposite, compliments my own.
Today marks the first day of the fall semester for Matt. He's going to be taking around nine hours, I believe. Perhaps ten. It will be a stressful three months; however, if all goes well, this could also be his last semester.
I'm going to a family thing this weekend - a Mars watching party at an aunt and uncle's home. It will be a blast! This is my mother's side of the family, so there will be a lot of people there, and all of them related to me. My mom is the second of nine; yes, quite like the borg, my aunt Katie is seven of nine. I have twenty four cousins, some with children of their own, on Mom's side of the family (plus fifteen cousins on my dad's side; yes, that makes a total of thirty nine cousins). Most live in the DFW area.
My parents very much want another grandchild. They have six children of their own and the only grandchild they have is in Oregon. They have told some close friends of mine who go to the same church to try to get me "baby hungry." Luckily, they haven't said anything to me yet. ;) And while I am curious to know what a child of mine & Matt's would look like, I hope my sister gets pregnant soon...

Holy Guacamole!
Date: 2003-08-25 05:24 pm (UTC)Most of my family is in Southern California, so I don't get to see my cousins and the rest very often.
You and Matt don't want babies? I'm excited to have kids, but it's not the right time yet, I think I need a wife first....seriously though, I want a more "solid" life before I'm ready to have kids(and I do need a wife, that wasn't really a joke). :)
