Flat tires and chivalry
Apr. 21st, 2004 05:35 pmSo I go to have lunch with the hub since his office is still in Lewisville and mine's at the new facility in Denton. On the way there, I and the car in front of me both hit some kind of wire/pole/branch (?? I don't know what it was) and both of us end up with a blown out tire.
Ugh.
I pull over and start emptying the contents of the trunk into my back seat.
I have too much crap.
I have the jack and the tire out when a real nice lady pulls up behind me to help out, which is a good thing, too, since I have just discovered I have no tire tool. We get the tire changed, and I head over to Sam's to get a replacement, where I call Matt to tell him I won't make lunch.
He is such a sweetie. He comes over to Sam's while I am waiting for my tire change, and we go to a nearby restaurant for lunch anyway.
It wasn't ideal, but at least I got to have lunch with him. :)
