Well, lessee....
We helped Rob & Sioux move on the 28th. Almost everyone showed up to help, so we got a lot done. I rode around with Ian and Nikki back and forth, followed closely by my niece Kyrie. It was nice to be able to work together, and visit. I got some good Lex time in, too. After all the work and some lunch, we chilled out at their new home and watched Batman Begins. Matt strained his back, but didn't feel it until Sunday, and he spent the whole day in bed. Ick. He's much better now. ^_~
This most recent Friday, I hung out at
lolafae's house with
tempest_sky and
finari. It was supposed to be our girls' game, but our storyteller wasn't feeling well so we just hung out and visited, plus since Tempest hadn't seen Serenity, we watched that. I also got to admire Lola's new puppy. Cute! But I have to admit, I stand by my adopt-an-adult, I think. I remember having to potty train Knight and what a headache that was.
Things at the shop are going well but crazy. We got a huge order in from one of our regular customers, plus another huge contract job. So I am privileged to be able to put in some extra time this coming Saturday... This is when I get to pay my dues for working salary. Well, times like this, and conventions. *sigh*
I've been sick for the past few days, too. Not super sick, but I did miss work on Monday because my throat was totally killing me. Now it has moved from my throat to my chest like a plain old-fashioned cold. I have to admit that annoying as it is to hack and cough, I much prefer the old-fashioned cold to the terrible sore throat I had on Monday.
And best news of all, Matt got a job offer today, and if the background check goes well (which it should) he will start his new job on the 20th. Whee! *cheer!!* Can we say hello to health insurance for the first time in literally years?!!?
K. That's it for now. I know, short and quick. But I get to go home in ten minutes to play some WoW and cuddle the hubby! ^_^
