In spite of the time that has passed, there's nothing of great interest to update.

Matt's classes start this evening. He has to drive to Plano every Tues & Thurs night (and alternating Saturdays) to the SMU campus over there for the next ten months. Poor honey.

The good thing for him, though, is that while he's in school I always do more housework. When he's not in school, nothing gets done. That's primarily because he doesn't do housework unless I specifically ask, and I hate asking. However, when we both just work, I firmly believe housework should be shared. So rather than clean up after him, I just let it all go crazy and messy. :P I'm a horrible wife, heh. On the other hand, when he's got school and work, I see housework as my duty to make up for the fact that effectively he has two jobs. Bah. I dunno if it makes sense to others, but it makes good sense to me.

The exterior work on our house is done. It looks beautiful. Now we just need to trim the hedges so they look as good as the rest of the home, heh. Well, not to mention the cleaning that needs to be done so the inside matches the out. Heh.

I need to review my last years goals and get some together for this coming year. I did pretty good, but there is still some improvement on most of them.

Oh these are two quizzes I must take. Your results, of course, are two of my most favorite things!

I need to see all these home improvements ya'll have made!

Heh. My sister ended up as Bauhaus, too. I will laugh if everyone ends up the same.

Yes, my home is really coming together. I need to actually make the inside come together now, too. Hm. I think I'm obsessing again, since it's been on my mind a lot lately. Or maybe my house is a mess and it's starting to drive me bonkers....

My house is definitely a mess and driving me bonkers. :)

We've been waiting on the new bedroom doors to be hung *since August*... oddly enough, totally not my husband's fault, since he's not the one doing it. Mom hired a guy from LV1 (although they just moved) who does repairs/renovation/honey-dos, and he STILL hasn't come yet.

However, the bathroom will be painted soon. As soon as I pick a new color and pick up the paint. I think I want to use a second color to tone down the blue/green Deep Sea paint in the office though. It's mightily oppressive as a color, as pretty as it is.

Taking the villain meme now!

Heh. I tried to take your sexy one but the firewall wouldn't even let me get to the site. Guess that one will have to wait til I get home. ^_~

Yeah, that office color is a bit oppressive. I'm finding that for walls, I prefer light colors.

I wouldn't be surprised if that color has a big influence on Fredrick's overall lack of productive activity. I need to go paint chip shopping soon!

My mom tells my sister that she needs to get new, light colored sheets. Her room is chocolate brown with kind of a muted teal accents. She has the den of apathy in there. You sit on the bed, and you don't want to move!

See, I'm horrible at colors. That's one of the reasons I've left my house white.

Now I'm going to have to do some color research to find comfortable, productive inspiring colors, heh.

White probably has served you guys well, since it keeps things open. With the size of your house, that's definitely an issue... can you imagine how small it would feel if you painted a room a dark blue or burgundy? Light/medium light colors will warm up the rooms without closing them in. :)

Even with as large as my rooms "feel" because of the open floorplan, I basically have to consider all of the livingroom area to be one. Any time you stand in one room and see another, they are supposed to be considered one room for design purposes.

Ah well. I *think* I'm doing some baking and candy making this weekend, so I'll come by some evening with yummies and a little thing I picked up for you. :)
