I'm back. And I have my oh-so-traditional convention cold, heh.

We flew out midday on Tuesday the 22nd. The flight was uneventful, and as usual, I slept through most of it. Once we arrived, we wandered around downtown in the hopes of finding a shop that sold swim suits. Unfortunately for us, Columbus downtown closes at like 6pm, so our search was unsuccessful. We did see the state capitol. It was nice, but ours is prettier. ^_~

That evening we ate at Max and Erma's, which is a very tasty sit-down restaurant specializing in hamburgers and American food. Very yummy.

Wednesday was set-up, and that went very smoothly. We had the truck unloaded in about thirty minutes, and the whole booth good to go after another two hours.

Thursday we ran the booth from 1pm til 8pm, then headed to our rooms to rest. Friday and Saturday the dealers' room was open from 10am to 6pm. Friday evening after the booth shut down, Matt went to do some meetings in behalf of one of the owners and I headed to the open gaming & demo area to paint. I started on 14085 Freja Fangbreaker, and she's coming along nicely, although all I did was her flesh tones. I'm not so happy with her eyes, though... Saturday evening Matt and I had a budget meeting, then we watched the History Channel in our hotel room (I know, very exciting :P).

Sunday the room was open from 10am to 4pm. The last two hours involved copious amounts of trading fun. We spent another three hours dismantling the booth and loading the truck, and had a final meal at Max and Erma's. Did I mention yummy food?

Highlights:

Hanging out all week with the Garmers. They are awesome, and were a wonderful help at our booth.

Meeting Sean Astin. He's so cute! Goonies never say die!

Having lunches with Sandra Garrity. I found out she is very food adventurous, so we explored a local market for various foods. Yummy Indian cuisine, as well as some Greek and Irish food. Oh, and can I say that the Chocolate-Cayenne ice cream was stupendous!?

Setting up a game with Bobby Jackson to play Frag next time he's in town. Bobby is cool.
