Greg's fianceè Kendra was shot and killed on Wednesday at work during a robbery.

I knew them through mutual friends, and reaccquainted myself with them when playing FFXI. She played a character named Yune. Interestingly enough, at our first meeting, it turned out that she and Greg knew one of my cousins.

I didn't know her very well, but she had a beautiful smile, warm, laughing brown eyes, and had a knack at making people feel welcome.

My heart goes out to her loved ones.

She worked at an Ace check cashing place in Dallas. :(

No. Although she is also named Kendra, so you remembered her name correctly. ^_^

I saw this report on the news...my heart goes out to her loved ones. I hope the police find who did this!

I went to her funeral Thursday. The chapel was full of her friends and family. I felt so bad for her family, and especially for Greg.

I also got the details on what happened. It is a true tragedy that could have been avoided in so many different ways.

Greg and Kendra's mother took turns picking Kendra up from work at Ace's Check Cashing. She often closed, and was always the only one there at close. Greg was playing in a hockey game, so it was Kendra's mother's turn to pick her up.

As she was waiting in the car for Kendra to finish closing, two hispanic men got in the car with Kendra's mother. They threatened her with a gun to make her stay quiet. Kendra exited the building and got into the car with her mother and the two hispanics. They put the gun to Kendra's head and questioned her for the Ace security codes.

Kendra hit the panic button on the device she had with her, which set off the audible alarm. The man then shot Kendra in the head and Kendra's mother in the neck before fleeing the scene.

Kendra and Greg were going to be married in the fall of this year.

She was survived by her mother, her father, her brother, and Greg.
