Plus, when one actually considers the hobby of costuming, it does have a certain degree of artistic mystique. Which is really odd to me since I've never really considered myself an artist. Probably because I don't really come up with any of it on my own - I pretty much always use a pattern. However, on a college campus, costuming is art. Whee!

I Completely know what you mean! I never thought of my costuming as an art whatsoever until I met an artist who was COMPLETELY enamoured with what I do. Especially recreating something in real life from a 2D image. Of course, in my mind, I was saying, "but it's easy and there's no creativity involved. I'm just copying." I guess for him recreation was much harder a concept than beginning an idea. Crazy how perspective works that way huh?

OMG! The next time you and Matt are at the Tipperary, CALL ME! If I have money in my pocket I'd love to join you!

Y'all going to see Flogging Molly on Sunday?

Oh, and I guess no one's posted about it. But the Steampunk class is being re-scheduled. Amie has gotten completely bogged down with work to a point where she hasn't been able to put the class together in a way that's pleasing to her. I think we have a spot left over in the Fall where we'll re-schedule it. I'm going to post about that right now since I don't think Amie will have time to.
